A USEFUL FIRST REPORT
Choose a period.
Keep the detail that matters.
Open WooCommerce → TaxPack Free. Classify your existing rate IDs, choose shipping or billing province, and generate your summary. Unmapped rates and unresolved provinces stay visible.
TaxPack reads stored tax lines. It leaves your orders, refunds, rates, and checkout calculations unchanged. No order data leaves your store.
- Any selected date range, with current order-status filters
- Separate GST, HST, PST, QST and RST groups
- Signed refund tax, including refunds of older orders
- Shipping tax shown as part of the total
- Review flags and links to the affected source orders
- Summary CSV with source IDs and explicit exception rows

Install the free plugin.
- Download the ZIP above. Requires WordPress 6.5+, WooCommerce 8.2+, and 64-bit PHP 8.2+. HPOS and legacy storage are supported.
- In WordPress, open Plugins → Add New → Upload Plugin. Choose the ZIP, install it, then activate TaxPack Canada.
- Open WooCommerce → TaxPack Free → Rate mappings. Check your existing rates and classify each known ID. No rate is changed.
- Generate a summary for a small period. Review flagged records and download the summary CSV.
Free reports are generated on demand. Downloading rebuilds the period from current records, so later source edits can change the result. Keep your downloaded files; the free edition does not save report snapshots.
The CSV identifies summary rows and separate review_event rows. Exception rows explain issues, including tax amounts without tax lines; do not add them to the summary totals. Always keep currencies separate.
Before your first report.
Is this a trial?
No. Every included feature works without payment, an account, a license key, or an expiry. There is no paid code to unlock inside the free plugin.
Which dates and addresses does it use?
Orders use creation dates in the store timezone and your selected current statuses. Refunds use their own creation dates independently of parent status. You choose shipping or billing address; missing details are flagged without fallback.
Does this tell me what to file?
No. It summarizes recorded tax amounts for review. It does not calculate tax payable, input-tax credits, or filing obligations, provide tax advice, or submit a return.
Can I move to the paid edition later?
Yes. Install the paid ZIP separately when you need saved reports or detailed exports. The editions can coexist and read the same mappings. Existing paid reports retain their original mapping revision; uninstalling either edition does not delete them.
Where can I get help?
Use the reporting guides below or email support@taxpack.ca with your plugin versions and a description of the issue. Do not send customer data, passwords, or tax records.
